I have been in the Martial Arts since I was a boy. I have been the head of security for several night clubs. I have bodyguarded for people such as Donny Osmond and Darrin Henson of Darrins Dance Grooves (when with Trilogy).

I’ve been attacked by many people who really want to test my system to see how effective it is. They try all kinds of techniques and weapons.

I know first hand that my system works and is effective no matter what the altercation. I’m an expert on gun/knife disarming techniques and practical self defense. I was an undefeated pro Kickboxer going to fight for the World Championship. I am certified in teaching the Kubotan/Mini Baton techniques.

In the past 15 years I have perfected my own style (Southard Combat System) which includes my own techniques and also incorporates several techniques from other styles.

There are very good reasons why many of Self Defense citizens, law enforcement officers and military personnel regularly travel from across the country to atten my Martial Arts training courses at Southar Combat Systems near Morehead City, NC.
