What We Stand For

As students of Grandmaster Tony Southard, we are continually learning new techniques that equip us to handle any situation that may arise in conflict. We are NOT the good ol’ boys club nor do we wish to keep Southard Combat Systems a secret. The development of S.C.C has been years in the making and in no way should be treated as a private club.

It is Grandmasters wishes that all people large and small are being taught to defend themselves properly. Ego maniacs may turn around and head the other way this is not for you……..

As the same goes with health and  personal hygiene, we strongly believe that personal protection and preparation is as important in our everyday lives.

Many times throughout the week I hear people say things like, self defense isn’t something I’ll ever need, I live my life in peace, I treat people good, or I just dont have time. Although these statements are valid and often true, the other people who are mentally defective or just plain thugs could care less about how it is you live. The are after your money, your body, your life or just plain want to hurt you for their own sick reasons.

As a society we have become complacent and lost our sensitivity to the horrific things going on around us every day. And as we ignore these things, innocent people are still dying, getting badly hurt(because of improper training or no training at all) and suffering for the rest of their lives because of what someone did to them or someone they love. We often feel a moment of shock and horror when these thing happen, and then we go on with our day as though nothing happened. We find this extremley disturbing and unacceptable!

As students and instructors of Southard Combat Systems, we take our responsibilities very seriously! When we host a seminar in our area we should have one thing in mind.

That is to further the hard work that Grandmaster Southard  has spent many years of his life perfecting. This is his life’s  work treat it as such!

This is not a buisness or profit making orginization. Although it costs money to operate. Let not ANY student of Grandmasters work be swayed by the temptation of the mighty dollar and let that become his/her primary focus.

Lets not forget who the Grandmaster is…………………………
